    In the year 2021, while being confined to her residence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, writer Rebecca Smith fortuitously found herself expecting her third child. As she tended to her offspring, managed her household, and penned her thoughts within the confines of a modest chamber, she was reminded of her great-great-grandmother, Mary Ann.
