Variety of paper

Rice paper

Since the birth of the Tang Dynasty, rice paper has been inherited and developed in Jingxian County, Anhui Province. It is an important carrier of traditional Chinese calligraphy and calligraphy and a treasure of traditional Chinese culture. The cicada’s wings are as white as snow, and tremble like fine silk.”
From raw materials to paper, it takes more than 100 traditional hand 1512 prefaces to make rice paper. The produced paper has the characteristics of being undamaged, moisturized, and not decayed. It is the best paper carrier for China’s calligraphy and painting arts. It is also an artistic paper for mounting and watermarking.
Dictionary paper

Dictionary paper uses bleached chemical wood pulp as the main raw material. When making, add more high-quality fillers, lightly sizing, papermaking on a Fourdrinier multi-cylinder thin paper machine, and super calendering or ordinary calendering to make the paper smooth.
It is a thin high-grade printing paper with good toughness, white and fine paper surface and high opacity. In our country, dictionary paper is used to print dictionaries, pocket manuals, reference books, scientific and technological materials and other refined printed materials.

Newsprint, also known as white newspaper, is a paper containing groundwood pulp. The raw material is mainly 100% waste paper pulp or mechanical pulp, with a small amount of bleached softwood pulp. Therefore, the paper contains a large amount of lignin and other impurities, and it is not suitable for long-term storage. If the storage time is too long, the paper will become yellow and brittle, and its water resistance will become poor.

Newsprint has good elasticity, strong ink absorption performance, relatively clear and opaque imprints, and is the main paper used for newspapers and books. Newsprint is used as a substrate for printing newspapers and periodicals.
Offset paper

Offset paper, formerly known as “Dowling Paper”, is a printing paper specially designed for offset printing of color publications. Made of chemical wood pulp, straw pulp, bamboo pulp and other materials.
There are single-sided and double-sided offset paper. Single-sided offset paper is only suitable for single-sided printing and is divided into three levels: A, B, and C: Level A is used for printing high-level color posters, cigarette cases, and trademarks; Level B and C are used for printing general color paintings, trademarks, etc. There are three types of double-sided offset paper, special number, number one, and number two, which are mainly suitable for printing art pictures, pictorials, book covers, etc.
Offset paper has a compact and opaque texture, uniform ink absorption, smooth surface, and strong water resistance. Conjunctival type offset printing ink or better quality lead printing ink should be used in printing, which is more in line with its characteristics.
Lightweight paper

Lightweight paper is also called “Mengken Paper”. The production adopts a chlorine-free production process and is made of 100% pure chemical pulp. It is mainly composed of fiber, calcium carbonate and water, which does not pollute the environment.
Lightweight paper has excellent texture and bulk, high opacity, printing adaptability and good original reproduction after printing. The paper is lighter. Compared with the same amount of offset paper, they are only three-quarters or two-thirds of their weight, so the printed books are lighter, easy to carry, and reduce logistics costs. The lightweight paper is of high quality and light weight, and does not contain fluorescent whitening agent, which is more environmentally friendly and comfortable. More importantly, it can protect the eyes of readers from harm, and is very friendly to the eyesight of the elderly and children.
Coated paper

Coated paper is also known as coated paper. It is a high-grade printing paper made by drying and calendering a white coating made of calcium carbonate or white clay and a binder on the base of the base paper. It can be divided into single-sided coated paper, double-sided coated paper, matte coated paper, and textured coated paper. According to the quality, it is divided into three grades: A, B, and C.
The coated paper is smooth and white, with uniform fiber distribution, uniform thickness, good elasticity, strong water resistance and tensile properties, good ink absorption and acceptance, and is often used to print high-end prints. The cloth-patterned copperplate paper is pressed with old blankets, and the printed graphics are more three-dimensional, and are widely used in printing advertisements, landscape paintings, exquisite calendars, and photographs of people.
The types of paper are rich and varied, and the uses are even more diverse. Using the right paper can make our lives more convenient.
