FDA: Limited Ban on Cephalosporin Use in Major Food-Producing Animals – AMA

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has moved to protect the effectiveness of cephalosporins in humans by issuing an order to prohibit certain uses of the drugs in major food-producing animal species. The order becomes effective on April 5.
