The limit of quantification using the LIB 4438 method is 0.1 ppm for Virginiamycin M1, 0.5 ppm for erythromycin, and 1.0 ppm for penicillin. Consequently, FDA/CVM’s final analysis finds that 4 of the 46 samples were quantifiable in the laboratory for antibiotics.
