Prevacid (lansoprazole) is an often-chosen proton pump inhibitor. Antibiotics eradicate H. pylori. Amoxicillin and clarithromycin are the ones usually chosen. Getting rid of H. pylori greatly reduces the chances that the ulcer will return.
